On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Interfaith Health & Hope Coalition, I want to take a moment to thank everyone that participated in the 2016 Prayer Luncheon at the Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church this past Thursday, October 27. The large multi-denominational turnout makes it apparent that information on mental health issues within all facets of our religious community has become an important topic. The goal of the IHHC has been and will continue to be to bring together the best speakers and information on the subject. If the comments we’ve received are any indication – we've succeeded.
“…excellent program…Dr McIntyre is outstanding”
“Just a few lines to express my gratitude for the invitation to attend the 2016 Interfaith & Hope Coalition Prayer Luncheon, it was divine!”
“It was well organized; the Speakers and the Faith-Based panel were exceptional. I believe everyone in attendance was blessed and enlightened. It was a pleasant experience networking with so many faith based and strong community leaders. The food and service was added value I must say.”
“…Great information and presentation styles…”
“…Today’s conference was exceptional…through your leadership, the Interfaith Health and Hope Coalition has evolved to deal with current problems and issues. Today’s well planned programs with speakers who are both professional experts and excellent speakers made the topic Mental Illness beneficial for all who attended.”
I would also like to thank the many sponsors, who contributed both resources and people to the event, and especially our presenting sponsor St. John Providence Health System.
Obvious heartfelt thanks to our speakers and panel members, including Dr.Carmen McIntyre and Leon Judd (pictured left), Rev. Dr. Sharon Mook, Rabbi Rachel Shere, and Halim Naeem as well as the efforts by the Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church Health Ministry Team.
Also, thanks to the many participants who chose to offset the cost of the meal with an on-site contribution. IHHC would also welcome checks or money orders from those who would rather contribute now at the address below.
