IHHC OFFERS MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID TRAINING

Interfaith Health & Hope Coalition is pleased to announce that is has been awarded a training grant by the Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority (DWMHA).

Upcoming training will be conducted in the areas of Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) as well as Question, Persuade and Refer (QPR) - the latter providing training to those individuals that may have interaction with persons that are exhibiting suicidal tendencies.

IHHC began making formal plans for training starting in May. The IHHC has already presented at two locations - but is considering more - based on interest by organizations that would be willing to serve as a host site - each event is limited to no more than 30 participants.

This is an open opportunity for area organizations to offer a worthwhile and potentially lifesaving service to the community they serve. Each session will be free to attend and 8 hours in length, with scheduling offered on weekends and weekdays, within Detroit and/or other Wayne County locations. A certificate of attendance will be given - non CEU.

If you want to attend a session or inquire about hosting, leave your name, phone and email with
